Lost Eye Entertainment Ltd. sign acclaimed playwright Vicki Sargent for hilarious new comedy drama series.

Lost Eye Entertainment are delighted to announce the signing of critically acclaimed playwright Vicki Sargent for a new comedy drama series Virtually Dead about an OAP gaming group. This is the third female writer the production company have signed in the last few months.

The collaboration is a perfect fit with Sargent fresh from a hugely successful Edinburgh Fringe run – where her sell out play Old Souls gained rave four-star reviews and left audiences both laughing and crying with its sharp wit and keen empathy about a befriending the elderly scheme. Vicki Sargent has written and performed in a number of self produced stage shows and is excited to be venturing into the world of television.

Lost Eye Entertainment Ltd. is an award winning production company, which has seen much success with feature films like The Gatehouse winning the London Independent Film Festival 2017 and The Rizen being selected for The London International Festival of Sci-Fi. Sargent will be pairing with company writer/director Matt Mitchell to pen Virtually Dead in what promises to be a heartwarming and hilarious show that follows an elderly group of misfits who join forces to compete at an online gaming competition.


Award winning author Lucy Van Smit set to make TV writing debut in exciting new Nordic noir mystery.

With a Bath Children’s Novel Award and Chicken House Books behind her, The Hurting author Lucy Van Smit’s TV writing debut is not to be missed. Winners of the London Independent Film Festival 2017, Lost Eye Entertainment, have just signed the accomplished novelist to write a new Nordic noir mystery TV series.

Lucy van Smit is an award-winning author and screenwriter who’s novel The Hurting won the inaugural Bath Children’s Novel Award and was acquisition by Barry Cunningham of Chicken House Books, JK Rowling’s publishers no less. Whilst having worked in TV, including travelling worldwide for NBC News and making documentaries for Canadian TV, this will be Smit’s first official venture into writing for Television.

Lost Eye Entertainment Ltd. is an award winning UK based independent film production company, which has seen much success with feature films like The Gatehouse winning the London Independent Film Festival 2017 and The Rizen being selected for The London International Festival of Sci-Fi. Lost Eye Entertainment acquired the script for this Nordic noir TV series from Hollywood’s Isaac Ruth. Given the acclaim Lucy Van Smit has gained for her Nordic noir novel The Hurting, Lost Eye Films producer Clare Pearce saw Lucy as the perfect fit to adapt the script for television. The series promises to be worthy of a Stranger Things level of binge watching with such prominent forces behind it.

Lovecraftian cosmic horror extravaganzas The Rizen and The Rizen: Possession have both been signed to APL Films gaining a a fantastic international release deal.

Set in the 1950s and the present day, the films span a 60 year fight to save our world from  dark forces that threaten to tear it apart.

Rising star Elizabeth Morris continues to trailblaze as she is signed to write horror sci fi for Lost Eye Films.

Fresh from working with Gary Oldman on Killers Anonymous as both a writer and actor, Elizabeth Morris continues to build on her soaring career as she is signed by Lost Eye Entertainment to write a dark new sci-fi film based on acclaimed short horror story In The Cave of Delicate Singers.

Writer, actress and producer, Elizabeth Morris is proving an unstoppable force in the industry and with writing credits such as Let’s Be Evil (2016), Killers Anonymous (2018) and Abducted (2015) under her belt, she’s certainly no stranger to the macabre and mysterious. From Fright Fest 2016 to Netflix, Morris’s writing has gained much exposure and success and her latest venture with Lost Eye Entertainment promises to be another hit.
